Hi Roger,
the get_bacon@xxxxxxxx is a fake as you probably know. I once
accidentally forgot to make an alias for the groups and used my real
address and I was swamped with all types of spam.
I removed the NOSPAM4u on your address and it was returned, what did I
miss?

Hi
With the headings in A1:A5 and the formulae in B1:B5
Assuming cell B2 holds the O/H uplift of 25% and D2 holds the
Profit uplift of 15%
B1 =B3/(1+C2)
B2 =B3-B1
B3 =B5-B4
B4 =B5-B5/(1+D2)
B5 Enter the Amount you wish to Bid 50 and B1 will return 34.64 and
B2 8.83 with a Profit in B4 of 6.52

Direct Labor $ 31.70
Overhead $ 8.08
Total Cost $
39.78
Profit $ 5.97
Total Hourly Rate $ 45.75
I have the sheet as above with a known value for direct labor of
$31.70, overhead costs are a % that is in a cell and can be
changed currently they are 25.5%, Profit is at 15% of direct labor
+overhead.
I need to have a sheet set up with the same layout except that I
will have a known Total hour rate, I would like for the overhead
and profit to still be able to be changed and show me what the
Direct labor would be.
In other words if I bid a job for $50 p/hour and had overhead cost
of 25.5% and profit at 15% of that total; what could I offer a
potential employee to work (direct labor)? I would be able to
change the overhead and profit individually and do a what / if.
Thanks in advance and hope all have a Great weekend,
cil
