Looks you are right there.
I thought there was a way to alter the color of the circle itself, but can't see it now.
Maybe you could simulate option buttons with small text boxes.

Backcolor only addresses the area surrounding the click area, in other words
where the text for the control is, as far as i can tell. Please tell me if i
am wrong. I am trying to address the area where the black point or tick
appears when clicked.
