External data connection needs separate login for each query

I have an Excel 2007 workbook with multiple external queries to Oracle. When
I created the workbook a year ago, I was prompted for Oracle credentials when
the first query against Oracle ran. The remaining queries apparently used
cached credentials to authenticate.

Recently, the behavior has changed. Now I am prompted for Oracle
credentials for each new query that runs. If I have five different queries
to the same database, I am prompted for the same login info five times. Once
I've logged in for each query, I am not prompted to login for subsequent
refreshes of that query while the workbook remains open. However having to
login for each query is painful.

Has there been some change that occurred with a patch to Excel?

Is there something I can do to revert to the old behavior where one login to
the database is sufficient for multiple queries to that database?
