Re: Combining Multiply Worksheets onto one

Hi Biff,
It is not good for newsgroups -- Robots are not excluded from indexing those secondary
copies of the newsgroups on that site. When was the last time you could do a decent
Google web search without tripping over newsgroup postings.. It uses most
of the spammy site techniques that the casino ad sites use. Google Groups
and Microsoft don't let robots reindex duplicate web copies of newsgroup
postings and do provide web based access So I disagree that it provides
a good service, because it and the sites he has sold that software make it
impossible for the average person to do a decent web search for Excel examples
and techniques. The alternative is to select a few sites to search but that is very
limiting. . It is strictly an advertising vehicle now.

It is rather unfortunate that ISPs no longer help their users sign up for newsgroups,
and give some netiquette tips, though the main tip about hanging around for two
weeks before posting is very passé since one can use Google to find out quickly
if it is the best newsgroup or not while finding out as much as they can before
posting their own question.

They probably don't know that they're posting through a portal.

The owner of that forum gets credit for having a forum where people get
answers yet those answers are overwhelmingly supplied by people from
this/these newsgroups.

You can read the files but you have to read them from that site. You have to
click on the "View this thread" link.

I myself think having the abitily to post files *to a web forum* is a good
thing .. Of course, you take a chance when you open files from strangers!

You cannot post to a newsgroups and expect people to read a file
that is reserved to people who signup to post to newsgroups through
Excelforum, the regulars pretty much dislike the slowness of web based
newsreaders, looking at advertisements, or having newsgroups postings
indexed by Google as web pages. Not to mention the use of handles instead
of using real names (first and last). You would have to explain in
completely in
words what you want to do. Besides Google Groups Search will not
include
anything from outside of the text in the post so it is not helpful to
others who
search for answers..

I have several worksheets in a workbook that I would like to combine
onto one. All the column titles are the same, but the rows may
change.

Please see the attached example. I would like to know how to make the
"All tab" automatic, since the ranges may change from day to day.

The if possible I would like to make a consolidated tab based on a
criteria.

Thanks!!!
