Office 2003 and Office XP are different versions so I suspect that one
will not accept the install disk from the other one. So you need the
disk for the version you have installed.

If you mean by "XP" Windows XP then you have the wrong disk. Office
is not part of Windows XP. You need to insert the Office disk.
