This is one way you can do this, but it is a little cumbersome and takes a
little time to set up. Once it is set up you're home free. Using Word with
mail merge is easier, but if you don't want to involve a Word document you
can do this.
Set up your labels in an Excel spread*** by formatting row heights and
column widths to the size of your labels; make Col. A the first column of
labels, Col. B is a very narrow spacer between the first and second column,
Col. C is the second column of labels, Column D is a narrow spacer, etc. Use
as many columns as needed to match your blank *** of labels. Work in Row 1
to begin with and adjust its height to match the vertical size of your labels
and column widths to match the horizontal size of your labels. With your
initial setup place a border around each cell in Row 1 that corresponds to a
label; then print it on a blank *** of paper (or on the blank side of a
piece of scratch paper) and compare it to your *** of labels. (Put your
printout over a blank *** of labels and hold it up to the light to compare
sizes. You should be able to see the differences. Make adjustments to your
row and column heights and reprint. Follow this process until you get cell
sizes that match your label sizes. You will need to adjust the spacer
columns as well as the label columns all the way across the page. Adjust the
row height of Row 1 until it matches your *** of blank labels. (If you
want to put spacer rows between rows of labels, you can do that, too, but
with sheets of labels that I've seen, it shouldn't be necessary.) Then
adjust row heights on rows 2 through whatever to be the same as Row 1 for as
many rows as you need to match the number of labels on your *** of blank
labels.
Good Luck
