Re: The "generic" keyword and unmanaged code

That's clearly a bug - I'd suggest posting a bug report onhttp://connect.microsoft.com/feedback/?SiteID=210

I imagine that you could use some preprocessor trickery before #including
the FreeType header files to #define generic as __identifier(generic), but
that may cause more problems than it solves. Might be worth a try though.

Thanks for the idea, that completely escaped me. I was going over the /
clr tweaks on:
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/k8d11d4s(VS.80).aspx
-- for the most part to try and find some way to jump to an unmanaged
zone and back again, apart from 'managed(push, off)'.

The only notable thing about the system configs that I've been trying
this on is that they're both vista installs. One at home (Vista
Ultimate, VS2005 Express), and one at work (Vista Business, VS2005
Standard). I'll have to find an XP system on which I can install VS on
and try it there (my current workplace provides these bridge
programming/hardware services which are outsourced to them, and once
vista was released, there was only need for XP machines to test the
final products on, while the development computers were upgraded).

I can't imagine why this would be the reason, but it's the only
commonality that comes to mind, since the hardware/software
configurations are completely different (that said, this particular
situation shouldn't have been so specific as to not have been noticed
yet, I think...).

I'll go over the submitted bugs and if I don't find anything close or
that covers it I'll submit a new one.

Thanks again for the reply.
