Hello, I'm the documentation manager for Microsoft's Visual C++ team. If
you're a C++ programmer who loves writing about technology, you may be
interested in an open position on the Visual C++ team writing documentation
for C++ developers. Here is the job description:

Want to be part of an innovative team leading the software development
industry? Have an excellent writing ability just waiting to be put to good
use documenting highly technical concepts? The Visual C++ User Education
team is looking for a Programming Writer to help document the newest release
of Visual C++. Primary responsibilities include defining and delivering
essential, developer-oriented, solution-based documentation for a
programming audience. This includes writing sample code to demonstrate the
use of the language and libraries; working with feature-team members to
gather and ensure quality of technical content; writing clear, technically
accurate instructions for use of the product; and working with editors and
other User Education staff to provide high-quality documentation.
Qualifications include programming experience in C++, preferably in a
production environment; demonstrated writing abilities; proven
organizational ability; proven problem-solving skills; demonstrated teamwork
skills; a willingness to take on large challenges; and a passion for
delivering high quality, customer-oriented documentation. A BA/BS degree in
Computer Science or a related discipline is preferred.

If this sounds interesting to you and matches your qualifications, send your
resume to GHogen@Microsoft.com.

Thanks,
Gordon Hogenson, Visual C++ Doc Manager
