Set Output window as default?

Tech-Archive recommends: Repair Windows Errors & Optimize Windows Performance

When ever I run a project the windows that open at the bottom always default
to autos and command window... I REALLY want the default to be autos and
output, is there anyway to set it like this? It use to be like that in past
versions.. but in recent versions it's defaultint to command... and it I set
it to output before i run the project it switches right back to command...
and is annoying as heck... how can I change the default window that shows?
Thanks! I have VS2008 now but this happened since VS2005... VS2003 didn't do
this for me....
