Good SSO Technologies for .NET/Windows?

Hi all,
We're looking to implement SSO across several applications - some that we
own, others that are owned by other companies.
Does anyone have a good suggestion on which SSO technology we should look
at?
The applications we need to implement SSO will be primarily .NET and will
run on Windows servers. User authentication will be against database
tables, LDAP, perhaps even Active Directory. Is there a SSO solution that
can be setup to authenticate against different data sources?
Different groups of apps will be authenticated against different data
sources - i.e. App A, B may share a set of users while App C, D will be
against a totally different set of users.
We'll probabyl require cross domain authentication - so some sort of
federation(?) will be required?
We've used Sun One Identity in the past but it was a hassle to set up.
Any "easy ot use" solutions out there?
