Hi Brian,
Based on my understanding, when you open an existing project, the UI of the
VS.NET will not response and did not update.
If I have any misunderstanding, please feel free to let me know.
I think you may try to disable the other applications, e.g. the firewall,
and restart your computer.
Then try to recreate a simple Console application to see if the problem
persists.
