Perhaps this is because your original post was deleted in my newsreader. I

The file (vbc.exe) is exactly where you said it would be. When I am in
VB/Visual Studio, command window, the command (vbc) cannot be reached as
apparently there is no path, dir commands as I assumed. How does the
program set up this 'path', or to put it another way, how can I reach it in
my command window?

I navigated to the directory at the Win XP command prompt and evoked the
command 'vbc' directing the output to my printer. I now have a copy of the
info you referred to; it's a little xxxx make that, a lot beyond me at this
point.

I'm not sure what you mean by this, if you could clarify please.
