I think this book has a second edition called "CLR via C#", again, my
favorite book and author too.
Great book, but I never thought of it as an introductory text. Even
Troelsen's later editions are geared more to those with some
experience in C# (or to Java programmers, who would already be
familiar with most concepts).
Many new to C# find Jesse Liberty's books (OReilly) more accessible,
and not so simplistic that they would bore those who already know how
to program in other structured languages.
