RE: Animation to adjust position of elements. (wpf)

Hi George,

Since you're going to adjust the position of elements at run time, I
suggest that you use a Canvas instead of a Grid in your WPF application. A
Canvas uses absolute positions and it is easier to explicitly position an
element within a canvas.

As for your question, before adding a new rectangle to the group, you need
to calculate the new value of the top property of each existing rectangle
and then play an animation to change the top value of each rectangle to the
new value.

For more information on WPF animations, please refer to the following
articles:
http://www.microsoft.com/emea/msdn/ThePanel/en/articles/animations_wpf.aspx

Hope this helps.
If you have any question, please feel free to let me know.

Sincerely,
Linda Liu

Note: The MSDN Managed Newsgroup support offering is for non-urgent issues
where an initial response from the community or a Microsoft Support
Engineer within 1 business day is acceptable. Please note that each follow
up response may take approximately 2 business days as the support
professional working with you may need further investigation to reach the
most efficient resolution. The offering is not appropriate for situations
that require urgent, real-time or phone-based interactions or complex
project analysis and dump analysis issues. Issues of this nature are best
handled working with a dedicated Microsoft Support Engineer by contacting
Microsoft Customer Support Services (CSS) at
