My name is Patrick Thomas and I work for Pace Consulting here in
Houston. I have a client located here in Houston who is in need of a
couple of Senior Level C# developers with winforms and SQL experience
as well. This is an open -ended contract that can go perm if
desired. There is no set pay rate for this position so if you are

GMI - Commodities Technology - System Developer
Position Description:
My client is currently looking for system developer for its
Information Technology Team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
o Develop systems to support MLCI in its energy trading activities
from front-to-back.
o Working closely with project manager and business users to gather
detailed specifications and requirements.
o Design extraction, transformation and loading processes to load data
into various disparate tables and databases.
o Integrate multiple in-house and 3rd party applications via
Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) methodologies.
o Implement clients (Windows forms), middle-tiers (web services), and
other software components (proxies, components, etc.) using C#.
o Cooperate with DBA to model SQL Server database, create stored
procedures, etc.
o Perform unit testing, integration testing, and regression testing
for each release.
o Deploy, maintain and enhance systems as required by the business.
Job Requirements:
SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
· Some understanding of the energy trading business.
· Enterprise Application Integration (EAI) design and development.
· Good understanding of OOAD and systems architecture and design.
· At least 5 years of hands-on application development experience.
· Desired Technology:
o Strong C# with emphasis on WinForms and Web Services
o Working knowledge of XML and XSD and related technologies
o Background in java or C++ preferred but not required
o Experience in either SQL Server or Oracle
o Multi-tiers, distributed application development
o Real-time application development a plus
