There's a free TrackBar.dll on my site that allows this.
http://www.dotnetrix.co.uk/controls.html

If you don't want to use the dll, you'll need to catch the Trackbars
WM_CUSTOMDRAW messages and draw the control yourself.

Not sure why you can't get transparent background with a TrackBar
control. Is there any way around this? I've searched for info, but
mostly found other people looking for a transparent TrackBar.
