Hi,
Suppose I write some great piece of software in C# - how can I
distribute it?
There are many distribution methods. Probably the easiest is package
it and make it available on the web.
Do I need to pay anyone for a licence? Microsoft for example?
If you are using any third party components you would need to check
the license for that component. In regards to any code you use that
is native to the .NET framework, there is nothing that you need to pay
to Microsoft for using that.
I heard from a co-developer that you were required to buy at least one
licence of VisualStudio (for the compiler), but I thought it to be
nonsense.
