I'm guessing 7.1 is VS.NET 2003 (.NET v1.1) and 8.0 is VS.NET 2005
(.NET v2.0).

Are you saying I can still run .NET 1.1 apps with .NET 2.0 and VS.NET
2005 installed? I thought .NET 1.1 apps would not work in VS.NET 2005.
