I have a menu layout like this:

   Navigate
        |
        |----- Reference
        |
        |----- Back

If I click on Navigate and move the cursor to Back, the Back select event
generates a list of 3rd level menu items (the code is shown in my syntax
error question back a few entries). The list appears off of Back like it
should. However, if I do not click on one of these 3rd level items (causing
the tree to collapse), and have the list change and reclick on
Navigate/Back, I get the prior list. Moving to Reference, (which does the
same thing, but for a different resultant reason), then shows the correct
list. Moving from reference back to Back displays the correct list.
Closing the tree and reopening it again seems to get the correct list.

So, after dropping down to the 3rd level, selecting a 3rd level item makes
future references work. Exiting the 3rd level reference without making a
3rd level selection causes the previously generated selection to repeat one
time.

It's almost as if the select event doesn't recur unless I select a 3rd level
item.

Anyone have any insight?

Thanx,
Bill
