Hi all,
I am trying to copy files into blank dvds to back them up so i don't lose
them again. Everytime i insert a blank DVD-R i cannot access it, the above
message appears. I cannot burn/copy any data from my pc and i had to reboot
it in the past several time losing everything. Can anybody help me please?

First, please post in an appropriate group. This is a .NET programming group.
To select an appropriate group, use the tree view at the left here:

Open your language of choice, then scroll down to the Windows category. Pick a group for your version and look for a group on hardware.
Speaking of hardware, it sounds like your writer has died. Have you tested it in a different PC to see if it will write at all?
