If you get a certification, you will get the type of jobs that all the MVP's
you see on these newsgroups that also have certifications. NO JOB.

Why? because certifications are frowned upon in the REAL world. If
certifications were so good, how come all these MVP's have all the time in
the world to answer the same simple questions over and over again and spend
all their time here, year in and year out? Just remember, even Microsoft
can't even get their own software products out on time, how in the world do
all the certified software programmers have all the time in the world to
answer questions on these newsgroups?

To answer my question. well, because certifications are completely
meaningless and NO, it doesn't set a standard in the real world for getting
the job done, but it does set a standard among those to give and take tests
all day and how many trivial and meaninless questions they can answer in 60
minutes or so
