The win2000 DDK has some support
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/buses/hh/buses/1394stct_1f42b443-66c3-44ca-8a17-f1f3504318a9.xml.asp
and there are 3rd party SDKs like
http://www.unibrain.com/1394_products/all_products/pc_products.htm
and Im searching for any dll you may be able to use, Texas Instruments would
be an excellent starting place since they make chips and want you to use
them; If you do it from scratch it requires making a Kernel mode driver
