If you are using SQL Server 2000 then you might try Reporting Services from
Microsoft. http://www.microsoft.com/sql/reporting/
RS requires SQL Server 2000 to store report defintions but you can access
any data store via OCBC including VFP, Access, Excel files, etc. Also has
managed data providers for connecting to SQL Server.
