Grab the text of a COM popup dialog

Hi,
I'm attempting to manage a COM application (MS Project 2003).
I launch the app via a shell command and use getobject to get the com
reference to the app.

To make the application more robust, when an error message occurs in the
application, I get a COM exception. Before I close the application I want to
capture the error message in the application.

Any ideas about how to grab that text? I already have a Process structure
that has all the appropriate information for the application.
