Not that this has anything to do with the .NET Framework or with programming, but you need a better router. There are routers available that have built in range boosting components, along with speed enhancing circuitry. Many claim a 2x - 3x range increase over standard routers.
There's much cheaper solutions. I highly recommend Asian cookware.
