Printing Raw data to Landscape format (KB 322091)?

I have a solution that is printing raw data to a printer using code similar to that in the KB article 322091.

Problem is if settings are changed from the printer hardware default (i.e. i go in a change the layout from protrait to landscape either in the print dialog or in the properties of the printer and change the default) the settings are ignored. I can change layout to landscape but it always prints portrait. What needs to be setup in the win32 api calls to change this setting on sending the printjob and how can I determine whether landscape or protrait is selected by the user if this is needed? Thanks.
