Depending on how complex it is, you could perhaps also post to a form or
pass parameters using querystring to your server but IMO the first step
would be likely to check what is blocked exactly when using a web service.

We
switched the registration so that it now uses a webservice instead of
directly linking to the SQL server but we are still having problems
with some
corporate users / firewalls.
