Skin in XP vrs w2K issue with transparency..

I have been playing with an application that runs under a "skin" where the
outside transparency is set via and elliptical region.
I found that in W2K, when I draw the inside of the form with a transparent
image that the inside would be unclickable (and clicks would pass through to
the application under my form - this is good for what I want to do)
However in XP this doesnt' happen, and the tranparent inside of the form
receives the click event.
Does anyone know if I can stop the transparent section from recieving the
click and or a way to "pass the event" to the applicaiton that is under my
form?
Or is it possible to have a very complex path that already has the middle
cut out?
Thanks in advance..
Rob
