Hi. Just finished reading "Host Secure, Lightweight Client-Side Controls in
Microsoft Internet Explorer"
(http://msdn.microsoft.com/msdnmag/issues/02/01/userctrl/) and want to build
a few IE Controls in C# for intranet deployment. But here;'s my question:
Is there a relatively easy way to build an installer (an EXE) that, once run
by the user, will perform all of the crazy new permissions steps, etc.
necessary for my controls to used? I don't mind the idea that the user would
have to download an EXE and run it BEFORE they can use the intranet site's
features. I just don't want them to have to do all the other complex steps
described in that article.
Can whatever Deployment wizard or installer-builder software that comes with
VS 2003 or 2005 do this?
Thanks.
Alex
