Exception on Windows 2000

I am writing am application which while it runs smoothly on my Windows
XP system (or other WinXP systems, even without installation), it fails
to run on Windows 2000 with the following Exception:

Message: Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation.
Source: mscorlib

Anyone knows what causes that failure or what to check to find out what
is the source of the exception?
