Jeffrey,
So far, there isn't a lot of logic in the private mainPanel field that's
hidden by the protected MainPanel property. Hopefully, this assumption will
carry through for some time. (You know what happens when we AssUMe.)
Modifying the private mainPanel to be protected allowed serialization to
take place, and the anoyance of modifying the InitializeComponent method has
ended. Encapsulation has taken a back seat to time management...
