Re: 'Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0' provider is not registered on the local machine

Tech-Archive recommends: Speed Up your PC by fixing your registry

Dear Steven,
I have made a winform application on the web server that uses the same data
base.
This works fine. As before, when I consume the web service from a client, I
get the error message:
"Server was unable to process request. ---> The
'Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0' provider is not registered on the local
machine."
Any suggestions are welcome.
Kind regards,
Tom

Hi TompIfe,

If the problem still exists, you can tried a console or winform
application
which use the same OleDb provider to access the db to see whether the same
problem occurs.

Sincerely,

I have now installed Office with Access in the ASp.NET server, but I still
get the same error mesage "Server was unable to process request. ---> The
'Microsoft.Jet.OLEDB.4.0' provider is not registered on the local
