I think there is nothing special to do at the .NET side of this story. I
mean, there is nothing you should do in order to open your web service for
other platforms. So I think your problem will be writing code on the Unix
machine that will access your .NET web service. If so, I suggest you ask
this question to a Unix guy/newsgroup. :-)

He wants to be able to display information that is stored in an xml file. I figured this would be a perfect fit for a web service. He also has a Windows server. I wrote a web service in .NET using C#, which I was going to store on his Windows server. Now I need to know how to get his home page on his Unix server to communicate to it. Can anyone tell me how to do this and/or provide a sample of how this is done? I'm not a unix gura by any means and I'm relatively new at web services, so any help would be greatly appreciated. >
