Web Services to Federate Active Directory - available today?
We are building a .NET based web service will need to federate with (trust)
Active Directory via the Internet. I heard that there are some third-party
SAML products that will do this. Microsoft is coming out with Active
Requestor Profile SOAP support for ADFSv2 (Active Directory Federation
Services) in Windows Longhorn in a year, but that is too long for us to wait
(currently ADFSv1 in Server R2 only supports the Passive Requestor Profile
over HTTP). ADFSv2 will use the WS-Federation binding which competes with
SAML.
Is there a technology or third party product, that supports the .NET web
services environment, and that will do this today?
.
