Does anybody else experience ungodly slow uninstalls built with SP1?
Using VS 2005 Team Edition with the new SP1, our packages take up to 5
minutes to uninstall. Some users hvae been interpreting it as a
lockup. Uninstall SP1 and rebuild the installers to bring the
uninstall process back to 15 seconds.

You will not recover much by deleting updates and that will just increase the SP1 requirements by that same amount anyway since it will download the corresponding additional files. ...
