Re: After installing .NET Framework some operations hang for minutes

It takes about 10 minutes after which I can use Windows after having
entered my password in the Windows login screen. So it must be some
kind of a time-out. I have two network connections: a wireless card
which works OK and an Ethernet card which is configured but the cable
is not connected - so I guessed maybe something tries to connect
somewhere using the Ethernet card????
Then I connected the Ethernet card to a hub. There is no Internet
connection via that hub, but anyway after that the login delay is less
than a minute!!! Maybe the framework probes all network interfaces and
hangs 10 minutes if there is no cable in an Ethernet interface????
Is there any login log which could help me debug this 10-minute hang?
Can I enable a verbose log somehow?
The Event Viewer does not show any problems.
The computer worked fine before I installed the framework (see the
earlier post).
