Hi,
We have an application which was built using the first version of .Net
(client server - vb) - Framework 1.0. The application uses a Data Access
Layer (remote object).

We just upgraded on 1 development machine to .Net 2003 --- HOWEVER, we are
telling the application to use the Frame work 1.0 (not ready to upgrade).

When the client code is running for the remote object we receive an error
message "Return argument has an invalid type". This occurs when a dataset is
trying to be returned from data access layer.

We specified in Project properties, app.config and web.config for DAL to use
framework 1.0 but it still seems to be using new one (1.1).

Are we doing something wrong? Please note, all we did on this machine was
install .NET 2003. It was our understanding that the previous .NET and .NET
2003 could be installed on same machine, just like the old Visual Studio --
without effecting supported applications . So really, by installing .NET
2003 it broke the application which was built in previous .NET. (??)

Any help would be great.
Thanks, Dianna
