very low performance due to ResourceManager ?

I've just experienced a performance problem with my VB.Net application build
on the 1.1 .NET Framework. The low performance occurs only on a single
laptop of one of my team member. On other computers performances are ok. The
computer has been scanned for viruses, spywares, ... Using a profiler it
seems that quite a lot of time is spend in methods of the ResourceManager
(GetObject for instance), much more on this computer compared to the others.
I know that localized forms take more time to be loaded, but it's quite
acceptable on all computers except this one!
Do you know what is behind ResourceManager methods that may explain this
performance issue ?
