I've done a bit more testing and the variant being returned is of type
VT_CLSID. It looks like dotnet won't marshal this which seems odd as it's
just a plain old guid. I've created my own class to act as a variant and
can extend it to take into account all the different types but this seems
like a bit more work than should be reqd. Code is below
