Re: CE 5.0 Cab files with VS 2003

I did answer you. Studio has nothing to do with it. CABWIZ creates the
file, and CABWIZ probably hasn't changed in forever (if it has then they've
really screwed up by not making it a lot better than it is).

As Peter pointed out in one of your earlier posts, modify the INF to allow
CE 5.0 as a target and regenerate the CAB.

And remember - just because it's an emergency for you, doesn't mean it is
for us. Most everyone that asks a question here thinks it's important,
otherwise they probably wouldn't ask.

Chris,

sorry about posting it in different places. I can understand that it is
simple for you but for me this is something that i rarely work on and this
time with a critical deadline that demands an answer ASAP.

I have yet to get an answer, can i make wince 5.0 cab files with CABWIZ
that comes with VS 2003? if you can please give me a yes or no, meanwhile
i
am dong some reasearch here as per your suggestion.

thanks

Please stop posting essentially the same question over and over here and

other groups. It's irritating and those who might be able to help are
quickly becoming less likely to do so.

The problem is simple - your CAB is marked for 4.2. Studio itself
doesn't
make the CAB - CABWIZ does. Do some research instead of just asking over
and over - it's well documeted how CABWIZ works and what INF files should
look like.
