Re: Unable to access local pc database

Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance

Adnan,

Run ipconfig on your PC and see what other IP addresses are available when
Activesync is running. To the PocketPC localhost address of 127.0.0.l means
the PocketPC and not some other place.

Hello,
I am using SQLClient. I have not assigned any ip as my pc is not on
network/domain its standalone & on workgroup. I have tested by using
127.0.0.1
AdnanPC (My PC Name)

but no result

Below is my desktop database connection string
"Persist Security Info=false;Initial Catalog=Orders;
Data Source =127.0.0.1; User ID = sa; Password = sa"

Note: This application works fine when i move to a network pc and use
another computer's database running sql server 2000.

Adnan,

What connection string are you using? Are you providing a IP address (not
localhost) that the device can use?
