today screen example for visual studio 2005??

Hi there,

Can anyone provide me with some example code/project for adding or creating
a custom today screen item using VS2005 (C++ and vb/c#)?
i've seen the one on MSDN but its for VS2003 and the C++ project is done for
eVC.
