You can set the foreground color, in the palette, based on the color that
you select with the left mouse button, and you can set the background color
based on the color that you select with the right mouse button. However, if
you're going for the transparent look then you might consider using the
transparent color. This is the greenish color in the little monitor looking
icon toward the top left of the palette.
