Whoaa,

That is a GOOD sales management, send the buyer to the competition :)

I had the a similar problem with them, I called and they simply told me that
NONE of theirs scanner worked with PPC 2003, that I had to buy a symbol PDA
( 2000+ ) if I wanna use it.

IMO they are more focused on the BIG enterprise and have no interest in
small companies/solutions , a mistake if you ask me, each day I see more and
more people using pda to keep inventory and sales , later they will regret
not paying attention to this market. I have bougth around 10 scanner as
today and if a contract goes next week it will be 15 more ! :)

If you are stuck with the symbol scanner , why don't you go to ebay and buy
a PPC 2002 , they are VERY cheap (100-150 ) , if the cable is serial you can
also buy a serial cable for the PPC to connect them, I used one such
solution to connect a ipaq3600 to a cell phone.

Cheers,

emailed Symbol about the cable they said that they don't have a solution for
me and they pointed me towards Socket. I assumed that they meant they didn't
have a cable, not that their scanners aren't supported in PPC 2003 (my fault
for assuming I guess).
