you can use something like in (MS SQL)
INSERT INTO table1(Col1, Col2,Col3)
SELECT MAX(col1), col2, col3 GROUP BY col2, col3

But in col1 i need to insert select max(col) from tablename, which is in

same database.
how do I do that??
