ASP.NET and OCX calling out-of-process COM server

We have an OCX that instantiates an object from an out-of-process COM
server. The OCX is used in an ASP.NET page. Everything seems to work OK
except that after some period of time we have multiple COM server EXE's
running.

I don't understand why DCOM would launch a new copy of the server app.

Any ideas or hints would be greatly appreciated.
