I currently support an ASP.NET application at work that was developed with
VS.NET 2003 and the 1.1 framework. I'm getting ready to start development on
a project that will be done using VS 2005 and the 2.0 framework. Could I
modify the existing 1.1 application with VS 2005, or will I need to continue
using VS.NET 2003?

Natively, VS.NET 2005 can't target v1.1 of the Framework, although there is an add-in from Microsoft which allows this:

However, I wouldn't advise it, as VS.NET 2003 and VS.NET 2005 can co-exist quite happily on the same machine...
