Response.TransmitFile: Browser freeze

Hi,
i am a newbie on web development...
i have developed a little file download app (asp.net fw 1.1 Sp1). I use
Response.TranmitFile to send files to the client. On my win2000 server
(iis5) everything works fine.
Now on the win2003 server (iis6) the browser window freezes when i
start a download. refreshing the page has no effect until the download
finished.
When i open a second browser window with an new session i can access
the app normally also during download.
It seems to me that there is only one connection or thread available
for one session. Is this possible? Any hints?
(btw.: i'm a newbie in this forum too... how can i search the forum?)
