First let me explain that you are using email software that somehow creates
email that when I reply, I don't get the text such as ">" prefixed to
indicate prior text. So instead of trying to fix it I have just cleared
everything out.
I am still not sure I understand. I am not sure what the significance of the
menu bar is. Otherwise, I assume you are refering to the client area of the
window. So perhaps you are trying to say that you want to modify the
background of your window. Note that users can modify window background
colors, so they are not always white. If you want to modify the background
color of the client area of windows you create, then that is relatively easy
and quite basic to the way Windows works. The best solution is for you to
read books about Windows programming. You should also read the relevant
portions of the Windows SDK documentation.
