Re: Create a WS_CHILD window in another thread with its own WinPro

Hi Doc,

Thanks for your further information!

If I did not misunderstand you, you mean that you did not share any HWNDs
between these threads or any control states, but only some shared memory.
If this is true, I agree that we may only need to take care of the
synchronization and mutext to the shared memory.

I can not guarantee your current design is a best practice, since it is
really a complex GUI framework. Regarding this type of framework design
recommendation, I would recommend you to contact Microsoft PSS or the
consulting service, they are more professional to focus on this type of
complex issue.

Anyway, if there is still anything I can help you, please feel free to tell
me, thanks.

Best regards,
Jeffrey Tan

Note: The MSDN Managed Newsgroup support offering is for non-urgent issues
where an initial response from the community or a Microsoft Support
Engineer within 1 business day is acceptable. Please note that each follow
up response may take approximately 2 business days as the support
professional working with you may need further investigation to reach the
most efficient resolution. The offering is not appropriate for situations
that require urgent, real-time or phone-based interactions or complex
project analysis and dump analysis issues. Issues of this nature are best
handled working with a dedicated Microsoft Support Engineer by contacting
Microsoft Customer Support Services (CSS) at
